..TO/GO (take off or go around) mode automatically advances the throttles to take off power for take off or if you are told by ATC to Go Around (abort the landing) when landing. The Flight Director also shows the pitch required for the climb. Autothrottles have to be Armed for this to work...all this is explained in the Learning Centre in FS9..look under Autopilot....commoner. ;)

Yeah, the Toga buttons engages the Flight director and Autothottles in takeoff or go around mode.
In real life you must activate TOGA prior to 80kts, or else the A/T wont engage in takeoff thrust...but I don't think that's the case with the default 737?

The actual Go aound mode works when the FD is turned on and RA is below 2000ft, if you do engage Go around mode the FD will command a pitch of 15degrees, then hold manoevring speed for each flap setting  and keep the current approach track that existed at GA engagement, at leats that's how it should work.  :)
