southern lights

Postby jetgod » Tue Nov 09, 2004 12:05 am

I have 2 pc's and neither one would run fs2004 since my wife bought it for my birthday in JANUARY!. :(
I install xp on the one in the living room and now it runs fine on 550MHz and 128MB with most settings on moderate and normal. ;D.  Today just farting around I begin a 747 flight from McMurdo station in Antarctica to BWI, and as the sun sets I see the Southern Lights! :D I believe they're actually "aurora australias?
One of the best days of my flight sim life. I've lost count how many flight sims I own(ed) over the years.  This was one cool day! ;)

I for one have never had a problem with Microsoft. Like anything else one buys, things go bad, break down, or just go about their merry way. The FS9 sim however, is one of the best things about MS

...other than SIMviation ;D

I was at Zone.com doing a multiplayer session in my F-16 with a squadron of F-16's in Antartica, it was about 2:00 in the morning there, and right in front of us was the Southern Lights, it was actually quite beautiful for a sim!

Later Days,

I wonder is it possible to add a screen shot here?  It is a truly neat sight to behold?  I would have already If I knew how.  I know how to take and save them, just not post them in here.
