
Aw c'mon you guys. I've just picked up on this one again.
All this stuff about CTD is frightful hooey.
I keep 2 otherwise identical versions of fs9.cfg in my folder, one cfgd for screen messages and one without. I switch between the two. The second one I use if I want to do screenshots for example, or more likely record a movie from instant replay without that annoying replay message in the bottom l/h corner.
I specifically use this mode to pan all round the aircraft in outside view, from level, above and below altitudes and at various zoom levels to get the shots I want.
I have NEVER had a crashing problem - so if you have, you have another different graphics problem.
BTW I have an NVidia Geforce 3 TI - now please tell me you have ATI graphics so I can laugh as all versions of all ATI graphics cards seem to have proven to be a total disaster for FS right from the very beginning.
NVidia rules OK.
