Go to the Black Viper site if your not sure what to shut off.

stick with the 'SAFE' configuration and you should be fine.


Thank you Michael for posting this link.  I checked it out and my frame rates became more smooth and less choppy.  Great information for letting me know what to turn on and off. ;D

Yes, Windows XP comes with a whole sh!tload of services running by default that are of no use to people like us and just use up CPU cycles and memory that could be put to better use by airplanes... ;D

for my two cents worth, have been using soundblaster live cards for years, and I beat my sound system pretty hard with fs9 and music. No problems at all with these cards.
