Ok FOR starters what sim are you using.
And whcih plane are you using.
Allthough I do not use this feature that often I have found if you are in spot plane view while recording than you should be able to see the gear lower. The only thing I can think of as to why you would not would be if the plane you are using was not designed for FS2004.
Because of the way FS2004 displays aircraft any fs2002 plane that has not been converted to be used in FS2004 you will not be able to see landing gear propellers or engine fans on jets.

Welcome to the boards Jeremy!

I think its a glitch in how replay functions.

I have dones the same thing with take-off replays, and if I am flying and raise the gear in flight, then go to replay it, the sim confuses itself and has the aircraft in the beginning with gear up. Sometimes it will lower the gear, sometimes it says you crashed, then sometimes the gear will go down normally. Not sure of a fix for this unfortunately. As for sound, I have noticed this as well on occasion.

On a side note, another issue I have found is the replay pausing inadvertently for no apparent reason, then if I try to replay, it wont and will only go back 1 second.

If you haven't ever tried to replay a flight from 1500 seconds, you probably don't know what he's refering to (maybe I don't either but I'm making a point here). You CANNOT replay from that far behind, the sim becomes SEVERELY screwed up. I've tried it befoe and it screwed up my sim beyond all belief. Not only did the replay not work, when I exited it I was 1500 ft above SEA, even tho I had just parked there and shut my engines down. In short, I would not recommend you ever play back something longer than 250 seconds, and if you do, make sure you save it before. As for the gear, everything about the plane the way it is right before you started the replay is how it is at the beginning of a replay. For example, if you want to replay a takeoff, your gear will most likely be retracted and your flaps up just before you start the replay. Then, everything will start to move into position as the replay starts. If you replay a landing from a point before your gear was extended, you will see the gear be retracted at the beginning of a replay, and then re-extended at the point you lowered them.
