Outside Temperature: how to know?

Does anyone know how I can know the real outside temperature?
By downloading real weather they don't tell the temp. (awfully small screen, by the way), Shift Z doesn't give the temp., not all planes give me the outside temp.

Someone an idea?

Tune in the ATIS frequency if it's available at your departure airport.

Or the ATIS for any airport you are passing over.  That will only give you the temperature at ground level, though.

ATIS will only give you the temp at ground level. If you want an estimate at altitude (considering the A/C has no readout) deduct 4*F for each thousand feet you are above the reporting station, or ground. This is the adiabatic rate of cooling used decades ago and should be enough for general use.

Here is a link to a xml gauge for temps (they are in deg C )
I knocked up for testing purposes:) the code is not mine just bits and pieces Ive found on the net.You will need to know how to manually edit panel.cfg to add windows some basic info in the panel_cfg.txt might help might confuse
the gauge basically gives you amb temp,total temp it also includes AOA info (I needed it for airfile work )

Many aircraft (or at least the default ones) have a thermometer on the panel somewhere.
