Come to think of it I can't remember anything that I miss about 2002 since I installed 2004. Only things were that some add on utilities didn't work anymore but all those have been fixed except for Lago's FSSE. The 2004 version of that has serious bugs but Lago just released a patch that should fix them (crosses fingers).

Yes, you can still hear other planes on the ATC and their engines. ACOF has improved ATC somewhat but it's still not perfect in 2004. Lots more eye candy and they were right about ACOF's weather. Biggest improvement I saw is a bit of haze when lookng toward the horizon so distant objects blend in a little better and it hides that band of blue when flying below an overcast. That  used to annoy the heck out of me. It always looked like you were flying into clearing weather but never did.

FS2004 has some inaccuracies in some places like bridges missing and such but 2002 missed a lot of things that 2004 has and 2004 misses things that were in 2002 so it evens out unless your favorite area to fly is one of the places 2004 forgot.

Only drawback to FS2004 is the inability to run it smoothly on anything but a top of the line computer but if your machine is good enough to handle it then it's a great sim.
