fswont start

Postby N556EP » Mon Oct 18, 2004 12:28 am

i bough fs2004 a week ago and when ever i tried to start it the splash screen would appear, then go black as if it were about to load. then just exit and go back to the desktop, so i checked my system and found out i wasnt meeting the min reg's for the video card. today i bought a Ati 128MB card. thinking that would fix the promblem. but it didnt it does the same thing the other req's.  i meet no problem, i have win xp proffesional. Whats wrong here? Why is it not starting up? thanks

The "splashscreen" is the photo FS9 displays at start up, default would be the DC3 but you can manually add others is you wish.

N556EP: Did you uninstall and re-install FS9 after upgrading your video card? It might be that FS9 doesn't reconize the video card? Or you have run too low on RAM, just a thought;)

What are your system specs?

And remember FS9 is a RAM hog!!

Depending on what your system specs are there are some programs that can be beneficial in reduction of behind the scenes RAM using programs.

512mb RAM is the realistic minimum.
Also have you shut-down all the background programs?
