Gauge Problems

Postby Mike_67 » Fri Oct 15, 2004 5:00 pm

The instrument panel has started to behave strangely in FS 2004.  In full screen mode the panel is very large, to the extent that I can only see a fraction of it.  The only time it's OK is when FS2004 is in windowed mode but with the window expanded to full screen.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,

Mike

I'm not sure, but I think there is a selection for this in the dropdown menus while you are in flight.  Press ALT while in fullscreen mode and try looking through menus, especially the "Views".  You are looking for "Resize main panel with window" or something like that.

Couldn't find any resize menu item for the intrument panel.

Tried it manually and it behaved oddly.  The outline box which appears when you resize wasn't the same size as the instrument panel although the panel did appear smaller if I shrunk the outline box.

Eventually I wondered if it was a graphics card issue so I removed my drivers and reinstalled them - that seemed to do the trick.

A bit strange though.

Appears to be an anti aliasing issue.  When I turn it on the instrument panel display goes huge and resizing doesn't work properly.

Shame because the views outside are much better   >:(

Graphics card is Nvidia GeForce4 MX 440SE in case anyone else has difficulties.
