Nope.  I re-formatted and put SP2 on before anything else.  Have zero problems with slow performance and SP2 so far.

Did you fully uninstall the old drivers b4 putting new ones on? by that I mean using a driver cleaner program to get rid of all the old bits?

I have problems with SP2 slowing things down dramatically if not installed with a fresh boot.

However once I format and reinstall everything it seems to work 10 times better than before! :-) not sure why...

I don't know if this will help you but anyways..  If you turn on anti-alias in the graphics driver as the default and then you turn it on also in FS9 then it will be really slow, maybe 4 FPS.  So try setting default anti-alias to 'application controlled' in the driver and try it again.  My system is very similar to yours and I get 32fps minimum at 1280x1024 with anti-alias and high settings.

My system: Athlon xp 2700, BFG nvidia 6800 OC 128mb driver 61.77, 512mb ddr, Win XP pro SP2.

:) ;) :D ;D

My whole system experienced a dramatically decrease of performance.
All menus, control panel access and conections were seriously affected by SP2.
I couldn't coneect using my DSL co Windows was always looking for a "certificated or reconstruction of my IP" - fails all the time.

My fs became very slow and absurdly slow fps dropped to 1 o 5 !!!!! normally I have 20 fps with everything set to max at locked at 20...

I had no other way...made an uninstall and a restauration of my entire system and thank God everythng is good again!!

cya!
