b&w monitor?

Postby yancovitch » Wed Oct 06, 2004 11:22 am

is there any way to play fs9 in black and white...... would be intresting to fly old planes and have them appear as they did in black and white tv when i was younger. (more interesting for cfs fans) so i'm an older  nostalgia oriented fellow. nice if my monitor could be switched to b&w. ...... . cheers, vic.

Maybe somthing you can do in your Graphics settings? I dunno, I will have a look when I get in from work to see it i can alter mine to B&W.  Cant you use the monitor settings to get rid of the colour? thats another posibility.

I have an ATI 9500Pro and you can go into the settings and change the shader color to get a black and white result or a different result if you wish.  I am not sure what type of card you have, but with the ATI it is possible.  It makes for some interesting effects.  It is in the preferences of the video card. ;D

Try using your graphics properties menu. Right click your desktop and go to properties. Go to settings and then additional 'card_name' graphics settings (this may differ depending on your card). Somewhere there, there might be a colour enhancement screen to change the colours. If not, stay in the advanced settings menu and go to the nview tab and then click on device settings and colour correction, that gives you olour changing options.
Hope that helps.

I think the mono channel is the same as the green....

modify your cabel to include either red green or blue (green works the best)

With my ATi 9600xt i go to the tab that sets up my AA, AF etc.. and there is another tab that is called smartshader, under that i can set-up loads of effects, like b&w, b&w with a little colour, plus loads of other settings.  It is quite fun messing around with them.

Not sure how you do it with a Ti4200 though.
