FS 2004 background sound? (on task switch)

Postby Gnarvster » Wed Oct 06, 2004 9:42 pm

Hello  :)

I'm curious if there is a way to enable background sounds from FS2004? What I mean is, if i do a task switch (ie other fs nav equipment, or just a browser on long flights), the sound mutes and i hear no engine.

Is there a way to get past this and enable background audio?  ???

Just a guess, but it's probably pausing on task switch.  There is a checkbox somewhere in the settings menu to Don't Pause on Task Switch.

Yep, coorect. Default is pause on task swith but i have disabled that option. Simulator keeps running fine in the background, its just that i get no sound.

Yes, no pause on task switch and run in Windowed Mode and use the kneeboard to open html URLs during flight

Kneeboard Use in FS9 online

bill

p.s. place the requisite URLs  in any of the webpages accessible from the kneeboard

Okay, so does this mean that i cannot get around the sound mute in any way?

Negative
It means the FS9 sounds -- engine or other -- can still be heard as well as any sounds generated from the kneeboard; i.e., playing the King videos while enroute.
