Could someone tell me how to set up the water reflections download from simviation?  I dont know how to get it to work.  I know this is probably a broad question ::), but any help would be appreciated.

Which set of textures did you download? There are several.
And in the ReadMe file there should be exact instructions on installing it ;)

Also make sure your graphics card is DX9 (or maybe its 8, I can't remember) compatible.
Great edit, Bob.

Google it.

Do you really mean reflections ...or are you talking about effects like sunshine and wave movement etc? Has anybody ever seen a plane or cliffs REFLECTED in the water? If so could you please post a screenshot, I doubt that this effect exists in FS....I'd just love to be proved wrong ;D

Yeah I think that is what is meant.  Just water effects.  You are correct in saying that there are no reflections as such.

I use the water effects on page 11 of the scenery downloads...it's call waterzone.zip I think. there is a readme file to explain the simple installation instructions. make copies of any folders you are changing and just rename them something like scenerydefault just so you can go back if you don't like the new ones. Start FS9 and change the appropriate scenery sliders to Land Only and the Water slider to max.
I just love em. :D

It is waterzone.zip, and I tried to follow the instructions, but when I ran FS, and turned the sliders properly, it didnt work.  If someone who has done this themselves with this file and has it working could tell me what they did step by step, that will solve the problem.

Oh yeah I got this one, gives nice effects.

Unzip it into a temp dir.

Put the one texture thats in the 'Texture' dir into your

Flight Simulator 9 \ Texture folder.

Then go through the other unzipped dir folders which are somthing like scenery, texture.  In here there are a load of textures.  Select them all and hit copy.

Now go here

Flight Simulator 9 \ Scenery \ world \ texture

Paste all the textures in here.  You will get asked if you wish to overwrite hit yes.

Up to you if you wanna back the originals up, personally I didn't coz the originals suck anyhow.

I hope these directories are right i am at work and cannot double check! Good Luck!!!
