Help with terrain mesh

Postby buttercups » Sat Sep 11, 2004 11:46 am

I have installed the scenery for British Columbia as per the readme from avsim site. When in the FS9 scenery library, "add area", I go to the folder \scenery\srtm-na\scenery the scenery file na82etc.bgl does not show up for me to instal it. In looking at the stock scenery files that come with FS9, there is a .dat file in the scenery folder and a texture folder in the scenery folder. Neither of these two are in the \srtm-na folder. Any suggestions to instal this add-on scenery would be appreciated. ???

I think all you need is the folder in which it's contained.  I suggest telling FS2L4 to cache the scenery as then it won't load while you are trying to fly.

Install the mesh .bgl in a folder called "scenery".

Place this folder in another folder that you can name as you wish: such as "BC mesh".
Place this folder in your add-on secenery folder.

The path would be as follows:
add on scenery>BC mesh> scenery

When you browse for the scenery to add it via the scenery library, just browse
