MS seems to have screwed up on this one.
The "Aircraft on a Bungee Cord" that they call "gradual transition" evidently is controled by each individual flight configuration instead of a

Hmmm, I fixed that problem so damn long ago I can't remember exactly what I did. (might be to disable it then save the flight as default)

I'll muddle around a bit and see if I jotted the solution down.

Trust me there is one somewhere.

Okay try this. Set up your favorite default flight, then go into view and "kill" the gradual transition thing. Save as the new default and y'all should be fine.

I recalled that when I selected another flight scenario, usually one that came with a particular plane, the damn gradual transition is more often than not, back on.

yup i agree. when i reset my default flight with the gradual transition off, it worked. follow this suggestion though- 1st-save the flight, 2nd restart and remark where it says (as default flight), then shut down the simulator and for the final time start it and run the default flight. you should now be able to go to any saved flight(other than ones with the transition saved in the file) and no more gradual transition problems. works for me every time.
