My GPS will not display, just a black window ?  Now what? ???

Sounds like it got overwritten or deleted.

Recover the default gps from cd2\ msgames3.cab. Copy fs9gps.cab to your gauges folder.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
