purple patches in scenery texture

Postby pierreo2 » Thu Jul 22, 2004 4:30 pm

When I am in the cockpit sim mode with jet aircraft, like the 737, and look down on scenery, I often get big patches of unrendered scenery texture, even with display parameters set to medium values.  These patches eventually render, but the effect is highly disrupting.  (I do not get this effect in  external view modes.) I have the following system specs:  1.8Ghz Athon, 4x AGP, 512Mb memory, and a new Radeon 128Mb 9800 Pro graphics cards.   Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Mine is brown and the rendering takes 1/2 a sec.

I use the drivers from omega corner for my Raedon 9500 pro...
