GPS disappeared

Postby ynot » Tue Jul 13, 2004 2:10 pm

The GPS will not appear in any of the many planes I have access to.  Seems like a link from the icon to launch the guage has been broken.  Can anyone help me re-link it?

If this was FS2002 I'd say you've overwritten the default GPS gauge when installing 3rd party gauges. I've never heard of this happening in FS9. You can retrieve the default gauges from one of the CAB files on CD-1. The GPS file name is fs9gps.cab. This looks like a zipfile but don't extract it. Paste it in as it is. My best guess is that you deleted it from the FS9\Gauges folder by mistake.

PS. You might also need SimIcons.cab.

That was the correct assesment - thanks Hagar.  FYI that .cab file was on disk 2 of my FS9 package.  I cannot imagine how it went missing as I have never deleted any files (probably should sometime).  But none the less, it is back and I can return to more lazy navigation from time to time.

Thanks again.
