Refuelling in FS2004

Postby BiggBaddWolf » Sat May 29, 2004 6:24 am

Just wondered if there was a trick to refueling some planes in FS2004? I was recently flying across country, and stopped at an airport to refuel, but no matter what I did I couldnt get the plane to refuel :o
I dont remember which airport it was, but I was flying the Cherokee 180 ::)
Thanx for any help you can provide

I'm still a FS2002 guy, but I understand the refueling process is the same., If ya don't want to cheat, you have to land at an airport with a refueling station -- that gross yellow flashing box somewhere on the tarmac. Just taxi into it and the tanks will top off. BTW, not all airports have these stations.

If ya want to cheat, just click on aircraft in the top bar and select fuel. Then add as much as ya like. ;)

You have to make sure that you pull up close enough to the pump in order for it to fill up. As far as your other question is, that I have not had any problem refueling at the pump so there in not a trick or a button that you have to push you just have to be close enough to the pump...

The thing to do is to use top down view so you can see exactly where you are at.  You have to make sure the main gear is within the box of the fuel station. 8)
Otherwise the hose wont reach ;D

I also had the same problem with 2004. since there is no yellow box to drive into I thought that the refuel feature was gone. Last night after a short flight  I pulled up really close  next to one of those fuel pumps and poof! my 737 have a fuel tank(s) of fuel

Also, its not 'cheating' per se to bump your tanks to full at a strip where MS didn't put an esso.  You may have to wake a very sleepy airport operator late at night to drive the fuel truck out to you, but that happens out there in the real world as well.

I am planning a RTW in an aviat, and I plan on costing myself at least an overnight every time I need to refuel at a strip with no pump.

Chops
I used to be one of those guys that got woke up to go fuel an airplane. Although lucky for me I only had to stay late for commerical planes. The FBO took care of the GA flights. I drove a 10,000 gallon fuel truck at KJAX.
I had to fuel everything from a beechcraft to the AN212.

I have no problem re-fuelling at fuel stations.  Just get as close as you can get to it and stop, then a few seconds later the fuel is added.  It is as simple as that!
