Mikey:

Since this is the first time installing, and seeing that you only have 128mb of ram, I would say get more ram.

Have you tried a clean boot and then run 2004 to see if it will start.

If you follow the instruction on M$ help page, I strongly recomend that you disconect from the internet befor you start in clean boot, as you won't have protection. Trust me, I learned the hard way last night.

Well just because you meet the system requerments like your GHz are high enough and u have the correct version of windows and enough hard drive space does not mean that the game will work on your computer. The GHz is the speed of you computer {you said that you had 1.20 GHz and you also said that you have 128 Mb of RAM} I have 2.4 GHz and 256 Mb and Flight Simulator sometimes will run slow even though I meet and go over the requrments. so it could be that 1.20 GHz is not fast enough to run this game. Or another thing it could be is that you may not have enough "RAM" space {which is not the same space that programs take up} RAM Space is your "Virtual Memory" and that is Space on your hard drive that is reserved for games and programs because Games like Flight Simulator take as much as 40000 kb of your "Virtual Memory" while the game is running but when you exit Flight Simulator that Memory is restored to your hard drive. So this is what you need to do: {1} Run the disk defragmenter {2} Run "Disk Clean up" {3} Then go to your start menu and click on "Run" type in "msconfig" when that window opens go to the far right to the "Startup" Tab, then on the bottom right of that dialog box click on "Disable all", that will disable all the programs that start up with windows {Because these programs that you are disableing run in the back round of your computer and use your "RAM" space which is need by Flight Simulator}

Glad you got it working. I would still get more memory. Also what graffics card do you have?

Enjoy FS9. It is a great sim.
