Kneeboard

Postby Merv0728 » Wed May 26, 2004 9:36 am

I am fairly new to FS9 & enjoying it but I have one problem.
The Kneeboard keeps loading at times for no apparent reason. Anyone else have this happening ?

Thanks

What plane are you using ???
Does this happen in all planes ???
Check out your keystroke assignments. Make sure you are not pressing a key that would display this. I know that there is either a keystroke or a set of keystrokes that will display this But off the top of my head I am not sure what it is, and since I am at work I can not find out.  8)

Thanks for the replies. I found it was caused by a button on the joystick which was a bit dodgy. Now no longer getting the Kneeboard popping up.

Have noticed another thing which I don't understand.
Flying on a course that will take you past an NDB,say to the North of it, in the Radio stack DME section the Knots decreases as you approach the NDB,then as you pass it the Knots begin to increase again up to the correct figure. Anyone know if this is correct ?

Funny maybe it's that time of the year? But I'm having kneeboard problems also.
When I open mine, I cant get it to scroll properly? meaning I'll open a section and try to scroll through it either up and down or side to side and only the very bottom line moves, words combine together and are impossible to read!
Is there a fix for this??

About my post above, I think I have located the problem with the pages not scrolling.
I tuened of antialiasing and antroscopic filter in my video card (playing with settings :) ) and with them off the kneeboard works fine??? So now it seems I might have to post in "hardware" forums ;)

This is not related to you problem that you are having with the knee board but since you said that you were new two Flight Simulator I thought that I should tell you about this cool feature that you can add to your Knee Board, It is called the "Knee Web" is is a patch that you put in your Knee Board files and then you will be able to surf the internet while in the middle of a flight and your plane is on auto pilot.
