FS2004 texture question??

I have the default Boeing, 737-400, 747-400, and 777-300. I was wondering if textures with a different number after the 737, like 737-700 would work on the 737-400????????? Thanx

No,usually textures from one plane dont work on another(even if its the same aircraft) because each model has its own texture mapping wich compiled inside the .mdl file.For experiment you can put in aircraft texture folder textures from another plane(remember rename images so their names match the original names of textures wich are being replaced,otherwise sim wont find them)-you will see that textures have been applied but not correctly...
