loads of flickering ?

Ok i have updated my graphic driver and set my framerate to 27 and turned down a few things, but im still getting a lot of flickering in the game, i have also installed all the low res texture files, is there anything else i can do to get rid of this flickering

Not quite sure what kind of  'flickering' you mean.

If it is flickering or sparkling of mid-range to distant ai objects (trees, buildings, etc), check your Mipmap level. Shouldnt be over 4 or so.

If your problem is something different, a more detailed description of the problem, and system specs could help in getting your answere.

specs :

win xp
2700+ amd
nvidia ti 4200 agp 8x
1 ghz ddr ram

What keeps happening is when im flying my framerate is at 27 and all of a sudden will go down to 18 or 16 at which time the picture judders about 3 times then it will return to 27 then will keep doing the same thing through out my flight

ps mipmap is set to 4

Sounds to me like a scenery loading problem. I'll investigate further and report back.
