Another Amazing thing

Postby Pc-Shark » Mon Apr 26, 2004 1:23 am

This was completely shocking. I just finished a flight from Maryland{BWI} To Paris{LFPG} I was flying a boeing 747-400. I heard over the radio a {Boeing 777-400 Pacifica D5896 } ifr clearence With the same flight plan as me {Bwi-Lfpg} This was about 15 min after I Departed that I heard it. As you know a b747 goes a bit faster than a 777. But if you read some other posts that I posted I was having engine trouble and was down to 2 engines. Then 4 hours in to the flight I noticed that the same Boeing 777 Pacifica D5896 was aprox. 100 ft behind me at FL280 Followed me all the way to Charls-De-Gaulle till I was cleared to land then The pacifica Circled the airport and landed on the same runway and taxied to the Gate directly beside me. That was the most amazing thing that I have experenced in fs9. Kind of weird and Ironic to isint it?

I think the FS9 AI is the best yet. Its so realistic its great. Sounds like you had one of those exciting experiences ;)

This happens in the real world as well. If both planes are in the same airspace ATC will append a letter or number to one of the two planes so as not to cause any confusion. Sometimes they use the airline for one and the flight number for the other. It depends how ATC wishes to handle it. But this does not happen that often
