Postby shabby_7 » Sun Apr 04, 2004 6:20 pm

hey, i dl some planes from the web, but the window view is just blank when I put on virtual cockipt view. The plane I download is 737-800. Any body knows the way I can use a 737-400 window view to replace the blank view
If anyone can find out a way its really awesome, cos i hate the blank view, make it non relistic
thanks

Some planes just don't have virtual cockpits, unfortunately. So you just have to live with panel view, as it's not possible to use the virtual cockpit from another plane.

Many addons do come without a VC. However, here's another viewpoint to consider:
MAny times when I'm flying, I see something I want a closer look at (or the AI).  Instead of messing up my approach, tekoff, etc, I can look out and zoom in the VC.  Very useful for sightseeing.

Look in the panel cfg file for the plane in question if it has VC
then you should see it. Look at the default B737-400 panel cfg file and you will see what I mean. You might even be able to use the default B737-400 VC for your plane just copy the lines over.   8)

If an aircraft has no DVC there's nothing you can do about it. Although the DVC gauges are defined in Panel.cfg the DVC itself is part of the visual model (MDL file).
