Postby FS_Ben » Sun Mar 07, 2004 8:29 am

when i try to fly from the Zone, FS starts up, i get a "Connecting to Multiplayer Lobby" message, and then it just shuts down the message, like i never connected in the first place.

dose it seem like everyone leaves and you become the host? If so I have the same problem.
The thing is, you are still a live when they start to eat you.

Ben, I'm having the same problem here recently. I thought it was just my hardware, which worked up until a few days ago. I haven't changed any settings and I have always had the most updated DX9. I'm interested to here any info as well.

Make sure if you are running XP that you have the XP Firewall turned off.

IF you are using a router you will need to configure the router to play on the Zone. I recommend going here:
http://www.nibblesnbits.tk/ for the info.

Also, if you are running any software firewall, you will need to open specific ports for playing on the Zone or even with anyone via IP. Get the required info from the same site as mentioned above.
Systemax Sabre Ultimate gaming rig.

I got all the goodies and all the power I need to run anything thrown at me for the next two months!

You'll probably have to disable the internal XP firewall, its a known issue that M$ won't do anything about ::)
You'll find it in Network Connections ;)
