Overwater view problem ?

I finally have my new computer up and runing and can run at the highest setting (except for those darn clouds)
I have noticed that when I fly over the ocean that the water looks strange off in the distance. Any ideas how to get the blocks out ? It looks fine at lower altitudes. I was flying east from New York at 50k when I took this screensave...

it might be a MIP mapping problem...

go to the display settings screen, then click on the hardware tab, there's a slider marked "MIP mapping" check if it's set too low

if it is, just increase it and your problem will be solved (maybe)

NOTE: increasing it too high might affect your game's performance

This is a common problem as ACOF draws the ocean a bit differently than previous vers.
It does not seem to be related to any particular brand or model of graphics card.

There are some water improvement textures in the download section you might want to take a look at.

I noticed the same problems, even after downloading replacement water textures the problem still does not go away! i guess its just a bug or a limitation with the game
