With prop a/c could be torque and gyro effect, either counter with rudder or reduce the effects in a/c realism settings.
Could be joystick calibration. Re-calibrate.
Could be rudder trim. Check it.
Could be cross-wind. Counter with rudder or reduce in weather settings.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
