FS2004 No CD Patch

Postby captjim » Wed Feb 12, 2020 12:58 pm

Hi fellow simmers CaptJim here again. Have a problem with FS2004 No-CD Patch. I have been able to download it onto my desktop, however, now what?? Where do you put it (be nice now  ) If I re-install 2004 do I also use Disk 4? Please, where and how do I use the patch?? I have, in the past, posted a problem with FS2004. It appears to download completely, including Disk 4, but when I try to open the program it just disappears. Any help with any of these would be great. Thanks All, CaptJim

No need for disk4, just rename the original fs9exe and replace it with the patched one. The patched exe goes in the main FS9 folder.

So, download the FS2004 9.1 update and run it.
Download the 9.1 nocd patch and place it into the FS2004 main folder, replacing the existing FS2004 exe

That's all.

Edited.

Please search simviation before recommending other sites, Especially ones that pay for google listings ;)

Oops, sorry about that. It's just that that other site was the defacto goto, historically for the update & patch.

Having said that, I did find the 9.1 no-cd patch here, but I cannot find the 9.1 update/upgrade here. Nor does a Google search for 'fs9.1 update simviation' find it in Simviation.

It has been a long time since I installed FS2004 but..

The No CD patch is an exe file.

The old exe file will have a name like FS9.exe and will appear in the FS2004 main directory. You should name the new one the same if this has not been done.

Overwrite the old one in the directory with the patch after installing FS2004

You should not need to "run" the crack. This should happen when you next start FS2004.

Be aware malicious exe files can harm your PC and you should have a back up of your hard drive just in case.

First, make sure you have the FS2004 No-CD Patch file downloaded to your desktop.
Before using the patch, make sure you have already installed Flight Simulator 2004 (FS2004) on your computer using the original CDs or installation files.
Locate the installed FS2004 folder on your computer. By default, it is usually found in "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9".
Take a backup copy of the "fs9.exe" file located in the FS2004 folder. This is an essential step in case something goes wrong during the patching process.
Now, open the downloaded No-CD Patch file on your desktop. It may be in a compressed format like ZIP or RAR, so you'll need to extract the contents first. Dave The Diver
