Releasing the bonds of earth!

Postby simaviator01 » Mon Nov 18, 2013 7:05 pm

The Antonov biplane I recently downloaded appears on screen with wheels chocked and Picket lines firmly anchored to the ground. Similarly, a DH Sea Vixen also has wings folded and the nose radar cone open. How do I prepare the aircraft for flight?
I did actually fly the Ant with chocks, picket lines & I think Pitot tube cover in place; but I'd really prefer to fly her without those encumbrances! <<q

UNFORTUNATLY, I think that you accidently downloaded a museum piece. :D

Just start it up and start to fly. Such items on many such aircraft will simply disappear.

Welcome to the world of flight sims. It may take a while until it's all familiar. Read a lot & fly a lot. And have fun learning.

Is this the Antonov biplane in question? The Antonov AN-2 wheel and Ski Versions Package by: Vladimir Zhyhulskiy

Great plane if you don't have it by the way. Thank you Vladimir!

The reason I ask is, this plane has the wheel chucks and I couldn't figure out how to fly without them till one day I realized
that setting the mixture to full rich was the only way to tuck them away. Just set view to outside, then adjust the mixture and
watch them go up into the fuse and disappear. I like to fly with all the auto options (landing lights, mixture & fuel..) turned off.

It's probly in the readme but I'm one of those who would rather push buttons and twist dials till something happens rather than
READ. :shifty:
