For you FSUPC Users out there...

A NOTAM from Pete Dowson, the Creator of FSUIPC:

http://forum.simflight.com/topic/74355- ... r-systems/

Looks like it could affect many of us!

Thanks, ViperPilot, for the warning. If not for you I wouldn't have checked back on their site for a few months.

Is there nothing sacred?

If caught I, for one, would be happy to rip the gonads from the perps.

"This in turn will cause the signature to appear incorrect, and because FSUIPC actively checks it every time it is started the end result is that all versions of FSUIPC3 and FSUIPC4 before today's date will cease to function."

TIME PASSES

Interesting. I just checked mine by assigning a new command is FSX and it did work.

I did a complete Virus scan yesterday and it came out clean.

TIME PASSES

A full scan is checking everything now.

FSUIPC has an interesting way of authenticating. his post doesn’t mention how we are to handle that.

Somewhere (on a CD, I believe) I have a screen shot of my inputs. Found it. Whenever I pay for a program I burn THAT version, and any password info to a CD.
I'll run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for another check before I update to the new version.

Got it!

"When (will) GlobalSign rescind the certificate"

"Your license is valid for all installations of that major version (FSUIPC3.anything in your case) so just install the new version over the top and you’ll lose nothing, nor notice any significant difference."

Nothing nearly so much fun. I once had a Harley, but that was a loooong time ago.

You know the story about how the old coot ditches his wife, buys a sports car, and drives off with his new girlfriend?

That ain't me. But I do wish I had the spare money to buy a used motorcycle.

On the other hand I was "flying" my Fieseler Storch.
