Hi all,
I just got the world-of-ai installer with a few airline packages. everytime I run the installer so i can install the airline packages to my FS2004 i get a message saying:
"Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue. the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
Index was outside the bounds of the array."
then I have three options to select from: Details, Continue and Quit. I click continue but nothing happens!
please help me get my WOAI running. I am using vista and files are of type WinRAR.
Many thanks,
amaru

I had the same problem, so I think I can help you out.
Do not move the installer once you unzip it. If you unzip it into its own folder, run the installer from that place every time. I think thats how I fixed mine. Let me know if that works... ;)

Do you have the MIcrosoft .Net framework 2.0 installed? If not there is a link in the Installer Documentation.doc in the WOAI folder.

after reading your problem i was unable to help because i have never experienced this error message when installing from woai
BUT... all of a sudden, about 5 mins ago, i tried to install a couple of packs and guess which message appeared :-? how wierd is that lol

i quit the installer and had a think about what i could be doing wrong and i was trying to install quite a few packages at once, so i retried doing 1 or 2 at a time, problem solved

obviously this is only an option if you were trying a multiple file install as i was

if that doesn't help then sorry but it worked for me

Hmm... make sure you have the latest version of the installer from the WOAI website.

Sounds like Vista being paranoid again. Perhaps you need to have admin privileges or whatever to install programs without it throwing a wobbly.
PS. Might be an idea to visit the WOAI support forum.

story of my life that one

after a little bit of research its looking like this is as dave3cu mentioned, a .net issue, if you have the necessary version for woai, you may also have a more up to date or older version that is causing problems. Unfortunately after reading elsewhere, it seems that people have had mixed results and different things have worked for them.
The most common way of getting results that has nothing to do with .net, seems to have been removing all things world of ai related and start again, although i dont know if this means installed airlines as well, do you have any allready working?
An other option might be to do a manual install? does woai installer allow you to extract the files?

Turning user account control off might help?
just guessing now really, but again, probably worth a shot lol

i am using the latest installer version, its when i wanted to install egyptair, aeroflot, emirates, etihad, yemenia and oman air! the only files i need to be added. Also, i do have PAI packages working fine but i need those listed airlines as i havent got them! is there anyway to get round this problem by avoid using the installer, for example using AITM2 or TTools? its for my FS2004

You can unpack the files for a manual install, but this still requires the installer, on the page where you select the aircraft, there is a tick box extract files for manual instalation, tick it and choose a location for extraction, then in the woai installer documentation, it will talk you through how to go from there.
however i am unsure if your installer will do this, you may just get the same error message
**edit** after looking in the documentation it doesnt tell you how to manually install and i have never attempted it, but im sure someone elso on here will be able to step in and give you a hand

I just tried to access Avsim's library and found the link through WoAI and the direct attempt thru Avsim's web site both failed. Seems like the connection is "broken", hopefully only temporarily.

Manual install should be quite straightforward just like any other addon. Paste the contents of the extracted folders into their corresponding folders in FS.
