TNG and the disappearing C-130J-30

Postby Falcon500 » Tue May 01, 2007 5:56 pm

Well I set up a pair of C-130's to do a touch n' go at a auxillary field (stock, no parking spots) the bird does, its procedure, lands, slows down, then disappears (dont think the Air Force wants a new C-130J-30 missing).

I am not new at Simple AI or manually editing, but i also dont know what everything does.

AC#10123,8100155,99%,8Hr,VFR,11:20:00,11:41:31,070,R,8155,SLJ,14:00:00,TNG01:00:00,070,R,8156,KBIX
AC#10123,8100156,99%,8Hr,VFR,11:20:00,11:41:31,072,R,8156,SLJ,14:00:00,TNG01:00:00,072,R,8157,KBIX

I figured TNG time was the amount of time the practice the TNG

I was wondering if the destination airport not having taxiways or parking ramps had some influence in this?
What do I do you ask? I struggle! Then destroy! Then try to put back together what I just broke on accident.....

You have to have parking spots. If there are no parking areas the aircraft will dissapear after landing. Use AFCAD and add parking spots.

It is actually a very easy program to learn. Just load your airport then add taxiways and parking spots. I highly recommend you use it. It became rather fun for me.

Falcon500, replace your flightplans with these. I have corrected several errors* and the flights execute fine.

AC#10123,8100155,1%,8Hr,VFR,01:19:59,TNG02:21:27,070,R,8155,SLJ,02:22:55,02:47:03,070,R,8156,KBIX
AC#10123,8100156,1%,8Hr,VFR,01:19:59,TNG02:21:27,072,R,8156,SLJ,02:22:55,02:47:03,072,R,8157,KBIX

**(When you paste into your Flightplan.txt file be sure to remove the forum imposed so that each flight plan is on a single line)

As the flights are now timed1, so there is no full stop landing at SLJ, you don't need parking there. I assume you have required parking at BIX.

*
...,8Hr,VFR,11:20:00,11:41:31....

Your using an 8Hr repeat period so all times must fall within the first 8hr period of a day (00:00:00 to 07.59:59 GMT) The flights will then repeat each 8 hours, e.g. 3 times a day.

*
Well I set up a pair of C-130's to do a touch n' go at a auxillary field....

You had the TNG's scheduled at BIX with a full stop at SLJ. That's why they disappeared at SLJ.

*
I figured TNG time was the amount of time the practice the TNG

TNG01:00:00 means 'do TNG until 01:00:00', not 'do TNG for 01:00:00 hour'.

*
.......but i also dont know what everything does.

That's what the Help file (Readme.htm) is for, keep it handy......

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.
