Best complete package.

Im considering adding AI to FSX and am wondering which way to go about doing it.  Ideally Id like something as easy to install as possible, and without having to program flight plans.  I am not concerned with perfection, just something that will get the job done, either payware or freeware.

Also, will AI interfere with VATSIM?

The only freeware AI packages installable under "the cross" at the moment is the World of AI ones (WOAI), as PAI is lagging behind with the making of a "the cross" compatible installer.

AI will not interfere with VATSIM or any other online system, as when online, FS disables all its AI planes. Online you fly with no AI. You meet other planes, while online, that are flown by other users on the net and projected on your FS by the connection software. Hardly an AI at all. ;)

It's me who has to apologize. I keep assuming all those who read me know of my nickname for FSX (it's a while I've wrote it like this now).

"The cross" is a nickname borne out of the X, out of disappointment, out of stress in the vain hope to make FSX work decently and ultimately out of my decision to "cross" it and wait for better softwares.

Been a while now I've been calling it such, when not using the even more derogative FS2000 V1.5.

Sorry for the confusion. :)

No problem.  Thanks for the info.  I guess the payware stuff out there isnt worth it?

Payware can be worth it, but by my personal point of view, AI traffic absolute fidelity to real life is far from be a priority. Airports are well populated with the use of PAI. The need some feel that that plane should take off at a different time is something I can barely grasp.

If you think like me, then a payware AI package is far from being a necessity for you too (and a wallet draining factor you can do without). If you instead do want an as real-life like as possible scheduled AI traffic (whatever floats your boat), then by all means go searching some payware. Just don't ask me about them, as it's about as far away from my priorities as ice cream is for an Inuit in the months long polar night. ;)

It's amazing to me that many payware packages cost almost as much as FSX itself.
