AFCAD Question on Wellington NZ

I am totally ignorant of adjusting afcad. I have noticed when doing an ILS approach to Wellington NZ rwy 16 it is offset to the left when using the addon scenery for this airport. How does one go about adjusting it. :-/

Well, first order of business, control if the real Wellington is offset in real life too (I have no idea). If it is, then FS is doing only its work in presenting it offset. 8-)

As to change it; I have my homebase (LIRN) that has the ILS on runway 6 offset of 3 degrees and I'm not going to change it on the AFCAD only because it's easier to use the autoland. Though each and anyone of us is free to do whatever s/he prefers on his/her FS, it would be a problem if this person with personalized, non standard approach on his/her airports ever decides to fly online, does it not? Better keep the ILS aligned to reality and complete the last part of the landing SIH (Stick In Hand). It's not much after all, the greater work is done by the autopilot anyway. ;)

Now, if Wellington in real life is aligned and FS gives it offset, that's another problem. If you want I can do the corrections easily enough. Suffice you give me the ICAO and your email and ASAP I'll send a corrected version to you. :)

Ashaman. I deleted the addon scenery for NZWN and used the default. Did an autoland on rwy 16 and it worked fine. landed dead centre on the runway. It appears the addon scenery by Robin Corn, Jon Murchison and others have shifted the runway to the right but did not adjust the afcad. Out of curiosity I installed this groups addon for christchurch NZ{NZCH} and found the same problem using rwy 20. Hope this gives you the info you require. AL.

It was an add-on? Ahhh... that's a different "bird". ;D

I can still try to help you, but to enable me to, you must send me as an attachment the faulty AFCAD files (if more than one, please zip them together) from the scenery. I will re-send it (them) back corrected to the address you gave me. My email button (under the answer window) refers to an active and working email address. Use that to send me the file(s) and let me know when you've done it. :)

PS
To make your search easier among the files of the add-on you want to use, the files AFCAD have a format like: AF2_****.BGL, where **** is the four letters ICAO code for the airport said file describe, and there is only one AFCAD file per airport.

Take your time.

Though I find quite strange if a scenery was made of only one file. Sure you're not overlooking something?

The structure of a folder containing a scenery is the main addon scenery folder (called for example "Rome") containing usually a minimum of another folder (subfolder "scenery") for simple sceneries, while it may contain more files and surely another folder (folder "textures") if said scenery is more complex and uses personalized textures.

But, as already stated, take your time. I'll wait. :)
