You're wondering how to use Traffic Tools to make your own AI from scratch or work with existing AI?

All I can recommend if you want to design AI is ai_made_easy.zip from avsim.com.

I'm not to sure what you mean, because I dont have very good english... :P But put it that way I download some AI traffic from AVSIM and it says you need the have the Traffic Tools design by Lee Swordys in order to use it. I need to know actullay how those things work with each other. Hope this is clear. :)

Here's an image of the three (3) basic text  files used by TTools. These are examples and they actually -- once compiled -- do work:

TTools will not compile text files which contain errors Hope this helps.

Alright I think I know what you're doing now.  Tell me the file you downloaded and I will help you from there. ;)

Hmmmm I meant file name (like hongkong.zip or whatever) so I could download it and see what you needed to do.

BUT...I'm guessing that it came with three text files that were called (for example) Airports_hongkong, Aircraft_hongkong, and Flightplans_hongkong.  To install the AI flight plans, you would download TTools.  Open it and click File - User Defined Source Foulder.  Navigate to and highlight the folder that the three text files are located in.  Hit ok.  Now you will see the three files under "Source Files."  Click the top one of the three and all will be highlighted.  Now click "Complile".  As long as the aircraft etc. are installed, this should be all.

If you don't understand this, let me know and tell the the name of the download.

The file I've download is called "cathay-dragonair_su06.zip" it is for AI traffic. File Description:
Here are Cathay Pacific and Dragonair flightplans for the summer 2006 season. The flights have been compiled crossing data fron the pdf timetable, the online timetable and amadeus. All flights are present, I've only adjusted the "EQV" aircrafts to make the whole package more near to reality.

Alright now we're in business ;).

First thing to consider is...do you have these aircraft installed?

"Cathay Pacific Airbus A330-300"
"Dragonair Airbus A330-300"
"Dragonair Airbus A320"
"Cathay Pacific Boeing 747-400"
"Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-200"
"Cathay Pacific Airbus A340-300"
"Cathay Pacific Boeing 777-300"
"Dragonair Airbus A321"
"Cathay Pacific Airbus A340-600"

These are the aircraft that the AI flight plans will use as AI.

Put the AI aircraft mentioned above in the aircraft folder. If you don't, they won't work.

[smiley=smiley_up.gif]Like he said, put them in the Aircraft folder, don't make a new one.  If some of the aircraft are not installed, the others should still work I think.  I'm not sure because I've never tried it :P.

Hope this works for you.

Now this is what you call: Assigned AI traffic
P.S. I work these kinds of AI packages the-other-way-around:
Rather than install copious amounts of new AI planes (that I don't really want) I go through the aircraft types I DO HAVE already installed and just re-write the aircraft.txt file to match my own crates of similar types. Smiple? You bet.

All this AI stuff is really background scenery for me anyways. I fly these sims for the sake of flying. The AI updates serve one purpose to me and thats to have the correct airlines around while i'm doing my flights instead of some bogus airlines that Microsoft thought up.

I think the aircraft are created in Recorder and played back, not Ai....
