Is there a simple to use flight planner specifically for AI?
One in which i can create an AI flight plan and also load an existing one and modify it.

I use AITM. It's fairly easy to use.

Firstly, I ponied-up $29 for Ultimate Traffic (UT) which pretty much took care of the bulk of any FS9, AI worldwide airline flights and any-to-all GA traffici I selected from the UT menu.

This leaves me and TTools to fill-in any blanks of my choosing; for this I find doing it the old-fashioned way works for me: that is copy&paste from existing flightplans (FP) any flights and simply editing the lines using Notepad

There's basically only three TTools'  files to work with so it's not exactly brain-surgery we are discussing:

Once one becomes familiar with each delineator in the FP.txt file, it's simply a matter of editing each flight as required.

Yes, I just wanted a dialog box to help compile the txt files. Doing them by hand is somewhat laborious!! In the mean time I've had a look at three AI flight plan editors and all of them have errors. eg. inserting full stops in the times instead of colons.  So i have done a mixture of all methods!!!

Have you tried AITM? As you can see in the pic, AITM uses colons.
It works fine for me, i've made dosens of flight plans with it. ;)
