Adding Aircraft Traffic, airport gates, etc, to your Sim - AFCAD, TTools, Project AI, AI Aircraft, etc
by smartguy24 » Fri Jul 14, 2006 8:26 pm
I've finally found my home airport, comes with jetways and all that...but the aircraft are parking according to what originally came in FS2004. According to the scenery package I downloaded, there is an AFCAD file included to make things work properly. But its a .txt file. What good does that do me? And how do I make it so that the aircraft do park properly?

The '.txt' files are 'import' files for Afcad 1.4, for FS2002.
Unless someone has created an Afcad 2.x (for FS2004) file for that airport scenery, you'll have to create one yourself.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

you'll have to create one yourself.
How difficult is that exactly?

It is really not that hard afcad is pretty user friendly and straight forward and even has a error checker to make sure you do not have any unconected nodes.
If you can get a hold of some plates it makes it even easier as you will have a idea as to wher to put the parking spaces.
