I live near KIAG and want to add 130s and 135s to the base. What A/C are the best to use? I know that AI and flyable handle differently so...

thx

You can use "regular" aircraft for AI. Just download the aircraft and make your AI Flightplan and you are off and running.

I would not recomend using any flyable aircraft as AI they can be a killer to frame rates.
Project ai does have some military AI not sure how much I did not look and I do not use any military aircraft(A FEW BAD APPLES SPOILED THE BARRELL) But you can always do a google search for military AI or others here may have a few links to share.
ALWAYS USE AIRCRAFT THAT WAS DESIGNED FOR AI FOR ALL OF YOUR AI TRAFFIC AIRCRAFT. They use a simple model and are frame rate friendly. 8)

The best AI A/C is from Aardvark correct? I d/led PIA C-17 and am having one heck of a time getting it to show up. I used Mike Stone's 135 and 130 and both show up. However the 135 does not do a TNG route. It takes off and goes. The gear cycle and then come right back dwn.

Here is the flt plan for both of them, maybe someone can see an error I am missing:

The 130: AC#61,547,1%,12Hr,VFR,09:00:00,TNG10:14:53,050,R,0438,KIAG,13:59:53,TNG15:29:53,050,R,0438,KIAG

The 135:
AC#60,1000,1%,24Hr,VFR,09:59:46,TNG12:00:00,050,R,0405,KIAG,13:59:53,TNG15:59:46,050,R,0405,KIAG

As you can see by the underlining they have actually take off. Thats the up side. The dwn side is that they both push back at 10am even thou the 130 is set for a 9am circuit.

As for the frame rate, they are acceptable however the rate takes a hit with the 130  :-[. If anyone has any ideas plz let me know.

thx

Henry Tomickedtz did a C130 (e,h,long h,j and long j), a F-16 (c and d in different loadouts)and a c-141.
Elvis-ai did E-3 CFM, E-3 original engines, E-3 USAF bumps
Fernando Martinez did a Transall

Trust me on this,

Use the AI C-130 model from Henry Tomkiewicz

Get it from his site:

"maybe someone can see an error I am missing:"
1.) All times are Zulu -- 9:00:00 is not 9:00 a.m.
2.) The circuit height for this airport should not be 5000' -- it should be 1500'
3.) If FS9 was permitted to run for some time before the 0900Z takeoff time, the other aircraft may take off at 9:59 (as indicated) AI flightplans do not always operate properly until FS9 has run for a sufficient amount of time.
4.) Some of Mike Stone's planes do not perform well as AI (I've seen some porpoise so bad on approach they crash themselves)  :D -- but hey, we are doing this for fun, right?

This free program is great for writing flight plans. You add the aircraft and airports to those 2 text files, then open the flight plan text and create the flight plans by selecting the start times of each aircraft.

You can even check VFR, TnGs & IFR flight plans.

I don't remember but I could have uploaded flight plans at at Avsim or Flightsim.

As wji pointed out, times in the flightplan are GMT (Zulu).

If you drop into kiag at 9 or 10 am

I would recomend hanging around the FSGATEWAY.com military AI forums (hey Mike! ;D) Just for all kinds of info. And as for plans there are several places to get professional plans. I live near Elmira and made some plans for KIAG KC135Rs and Frances S. Gabreski Airport (HC-130) But they arent very realistic. I would either searching for other plans- there is a package of every american C-130 in service but it uses some of Mike Stones models- SLIDESHOW! ::) There is an awesome series of ANG packages coming out by region but they havent hit the Northeast yet. Just go to FsGateway you can find anything there!
I will post my plans though: for the Pavehawk go to hovercontrol.com. For everything else go to the sites mentioned in Mikes Post (and get the paints from Graham King they are awesome!)
Here Ya go:
