PAPI lights in AFCAD

Postby flyboy 28 » Sat Mar 18, 2006 4:31 pm

Hi all, just wondering what the different PAPI systems are in AFCAD. I'm looking for one that's just two, side by side. Any help is appreciated.

The Afcad Help file-Section 43-VASI shows all of the types available.

At that time [1909] the chief engineer was almost always the chief test pilot as well. That had the fortunate result of eliminating poor engineering early in aviation.

PAPI2 and PAPI4 are the only choices in AF2. May I sugest using the one that suits your criteria by viewing both in FS9.

"Most airports with runway lights have some kind of visual approach slope lights such as VASI or PAPI.

VASI and PAPI: see post above
TRCV: ?
P-VASI: another VASI variant
T-VASI: double T shape VASI... with extra lights. correct angle = only the big bar
BALL: as on carrier. green/white/red
ADAP: never had that one active
PANELS: boards on the side... not for night use?
Russian planes: IL-76 (all standard length ones),  Tu-154 and Il-62, Tu-134 and [url=http://an24.uw.hu/]An-24RV[/ur
