This is really getting to my nerves...the default AI...it's pissing me off...and I don't know what to do...I've renamed the default traffic file into something else, used the PAI uninstaller, nothing...not one default AI plane dissappears...and as a result, my sim isn't exactly real anymore...I just want to get rid of it...I know this has probably been discussed before...but I don't know what to do....

Nice long healthy reply Mike...thanks...I just removed the default traffic files from my folder...I'll have to try out FS later today...Thanks...

The above stated does not work...I still get those pesky defaults...I need to try another alternative...

I must go trough this ordeal again too, since I did a complete re-install of my system.

For one, the PAI remover don't work... at all! So don't even bother.

And I remember beeing able to remove all the traffic by changing a file. I'll dive into the history of this forum to find the answer on my question again...

Ashar I'm wondering if you have a "hidden" traffic file that you are not aware of.  How many traffic files do you have in your FS9/SCENERY/WORLD/SCENERY folder??  Have you added a bunch of other traffic files into that folder?

If so renaming the aircraft inside the .cfg files should take care of your problem regardless of "hidden" traffic files or not.

I think I know why you still have those "pesky defaults", Ashar.....

If you go into the folder entitled "Project AI" (found in main FS9 folder) -> "PAI Install" -> "TTools" and open the text file "aircraft.txt" (or whatever it's called) look what's listed?

Yup, the default aircraft.

I'm about to remove the defaults too, so I'm about to remove all the default airliners on the list, then compile the aircraft.txt and remove the default traffic BGL file, and then, it should all be ok.
