RWY 12 Install Question

Postby ivormills » Wed Dec 28, 2005 6:27 am

I am about to install RWY12.

One of the downloaded programs needed from Microsoft is 'dotnetfx'. There are three versions, 1.1, 2.0 and 2.0 Beta1. Which version should I install?

Thanks

1.1 should be sufficient, and is the one pointed to in the Rwy12 Install (pdf).

I use the 1.1 and Rwy12 works fine.

I've used Rwy12 since it came out and it's a great FREE program for enhancing our FS9 flying experience. Thanks to Seev Kahn, et al, for all the work they've put into Rwy12.

Having said that, the smart-money (at least $29 bucks worth) is using EZ-Scenery from Abacuspub.com to add scenery objects visually to FS9.

Seev (et al), has kindly consented to release specific Rwy12 Object Libaries for use in EZ-Scenery.

Rwy12 is yesterday's program; I wouldn't want you to miss the wave -- EZ-Scenery!

P.S. What else can you buy for 29 bucks?

I downloaded the trial version of EZ-Scenery and it looks quite impressive. One thing I have noticed though is that there appears to be no airport terminal buildings in any of the libraries, which is a bit of a drawback. Do you know of any add on libraries that will work with EZ scenery that include terminal buildings, and maybe a bigger range of static aircraft, as the aircraft supplied look like they were made for FS98!

Thanks

I searched SimV for ez-scenery and came up nada

Search avsim.com for 'ez-scenery' to find many addon libraries (too many actually) including terminals and GA planes; the latter even come in 'gaggles' (groups of parked planes)

EZ-Scenery Libraries are growing at least one-per-day -- too many, to keep up with, actually.
