Im having real difficulty wording my question, but here i go. You know if there is a big a long wait at the runway to take off because there are lots of planes landing, after a while, the ai traffic just dissapears. is there any way of making them wait until a space become available? thanks!!!

Unfortunately not. FS2004 incorporated a 5 minutes time interval after which the "stucked" a/c disappear. This time interval cannot be changed. So, when lot's of planes are landing on the same runway of the take-offs it always happens that each five minutes a holding plane disappears. It's a pity, but we have to live with it

Cheers
Rob

The interval is probably a good thing too, I landed my plane at Frankfurt am Main yesterday and an Airwave MD-80 was told to stop its taxi so I could pass on my way to the gate, after I passed it the plane never started moving again so there were a few other planes waiting behind it until it finnaly dissapeared after a few mins.

If AI traffic is holding you up increase you time frame to 4x or 8x this speeds things up alot. !!!!! WARNING make sure you are at a stop or your speed will also increase as well.
One other thing is I know of at least one airport that has a misplaced hold short and as a result AI traffic will never take off from it the air port is KGSO sorry can not rember which runway it is.
I am sure this is not the only airport with this problem but it is a easy fix with AFCAD.

going to 8x will delete all traffic, 4x will just speed it up

Hi
One way too assist with the movement of ai traffic at the hold short point is. Using afcad create another runway with the same heading, and ie left or center or right. this gives more runways for the landing traffic to use and atc will direct them there to the new runways for landing. ATC will also direct traffic too the new runways for departures. This free's up the departure runway quicker for take off's. I do it in the new airports that I create, and it works well for me. No more disappearing ai If you need more info message me.
Regards
Frank.

Also do a search on the internet (check AVSIM)for AI spacing package.
