...I believe there are two or even three removal packages....one for Commercial traffic, one for General aviation traffic and a final one for Vintage stuff...try running all of them.....commoner

...another way ..if your skills are up to such a task would be to simply give the commercial default aircraft new liveries...there are loads of repaints to download just designed for the default planes..that way you can have your choice of paint job and still keep the ai traffic flying but not have the funny default colours.............
....If You really want to get ai traffic to look right and be where you want , when you want, you will have to get TTools and learn how to use it........commoner.

If you like you could find your traffic.bgl file and send it to me, that way i could delete the default flight plans for you and preserve the ones you would like on there. If you want me to do it for you email it to me at

I moved the default models out of my aircraft folder. This is okay for guys who don't like flying the default Boeings, so it works for me.

Here's another way to do it.
Go into each default aircraft's folder that you want to remove as AI traffic.

Someone else had posted this here awhile ago, and it worked for me. If the default traffic.bgl is removed, and your flightplans are recompiled using TTools, ALL of the default flights will cease to exist - it's a quick & nasty way to get the job done. You can then reload the general aviation PAI (although I've never tried it) to replace the former ones. To find this file, open C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World\scenery and look for traffic030528.bgl. Best to simply move it into a new location altogether just in case you want to revert to the default setup down the road.

simple and easy just go to your
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Flight Simulator 9\Scenery\World
find a file called traffic030528.bgl, delete it <-- (not really recommend) or take it out from the folder <-- (recommended)
