Gates + parking positions

Postby rich1241 » Fri Aug 26, 2005 4:18 pm

Hiya,

This question relates to Manchester Airport Payware scenary by UK 2000

I have some project ai aircraft installed and also ultimate traffic.

Q) My project ai aircraft, eg - First Choice (who operate from T2) are using the gates at T1 + T3!! Is it possible to change this & how please?

Many thanks for your help in advance, it will be greatly appreciated.

Richard Hincks.

If you have AFCAD (ver 2.x for FS9) you can use it to add parking codes to the gates.

You can then use the AFCAD>Tools>Aircraft Editor to assign the same parking codes to the desired aircraft. (Check the aircraft.cfg file(s) as many PAI a/c have parking codes already defined)

The aircraft will then go to the proper gate(s) as first choice if there is one available.

If your unfamiliar with AFCAD it has a very good help file.

Thanks for your reply. Is there anywhere i could get a map of MAN that shows which airlines use what gates?

Many thanks,
Richard.

PS - In the afcad aircraft editor, is it possible to export this information to excel/access?

Maybe try to 'Google' for the info, or hope someone jumps in here that is familiar with Manchester

There is no export/import function in Afcad ver.2.x, so my guess is no.

Thanks, Dave, for this reminder Aircraft Editor in AF2 seems to be the most-overlooked feature of Lee's great freebee. I've coded parking by hand (editing aircraft.cfg files) only to find (after checking same in AF2's Aircraft Editor), I made errors during data-entry.

If the crates don't park where you want them to, open AF2's Aircraft Editor and find out why.
