If this a default FS9 ILS system perhaps setting weather to below VFR minima will make ATC give one the ILS landing.
Bill
P.S. If the ILS was added by user, it will show up in map view but FS9 ATC will not assign it for landings

This really oughter go up as a sticky as I've posted it so many times.
All of the approaches are programmed into the sim. Visual is the default when there is no other to choose from. If you want to add an ILS approach to an airport you've designed or modified you have to learn how to program it in using the BGLComp XML SDK. You have to learn about transitions, arcs, approach legs, missed approach legs, fix types and a whole lot of other stuff. It's complex just to do one approach for one airport let alone the hundreds that M$ has included in the sim.

I was confused because the Afcad help says. As soon
as you have a tower com frequency everything should work.
So I thought this includes ILS as well.
Would it be possible to copy an ILS approach from another airport ?
Maybe an airport that has a similar heading and size
where I just have to change some variables ? ;D

Afraid not. Each ILS approach is specific to each airport. Each runway at the same airport even has to be programmed in separately.
BTW - AFCAD just sets up the frequency so it will work. Getting ATC to assign the approach which is what we are talking about is as you can see something completely different.
