there is a tool that you can download and it changes I believe the model so it won't show up in your flyable list of AC which also allows your game to load quicker.

I'll be home soon and can post what it is if no one replies back

Eh?

I never cease to be amazed at the so-called 'applications' that people find to do simple things.

To stop seeing AI aircraft as 'flyable' planes in your list open the plane's air file in AirEd.exe and change the aircraft type from 0 to 2.

AirEd has been around a lot longer than Mr Chan's 'application' I'll bet.

But why does it matter who's has been around longer? If they both do the same thing, and flapper1 got his answer than shouldn't that be the only thing that matters ::)

???

Know what planespotter, in the words of Rhet Butler....

However, if all Mr Chan's 'application' does is remove AI from the list it's not much of one.

AirEd.exe is the standard air file editor that has been used by most everyone for some considerable time and will continue to be so long after Mr Chan has been forgotten.

Sorry RB, but Mr Chan's does the same feature as AirEd. I'm trying to use AirEd so see which is easier and all my AI aircraft already have 2's in them  :P

RB, 90% of my AI planes are military flyable versions that I convert to AI by removing the panel folder and any internal.bmps to save on frame rates.

Because all of these did show up in my flyable list I needed to use that BBQhideAI because I didn't know of the AIRed program.

Just letting people know there is more than one way to skin a cat  ;)

this is a flight simulator forum not the meaning of life forum...you guys need to relax

;D

P.S. and by meaning of life I'm not refering to the great film from the Monty Python... ;D

What are you talking about?

We know that a huge number of people view these forums and value the quality of the advice they get here. So we always try to make sure that it's the very best possible and gives the fullest possible picture based on the best knowledge and experience available.

That's why so many of them then go on to become members themselves and start posting making it a richer place for everyone.

Don't worry about me - I've been doing it and remaining perfectly calm for quite a while now  ;)
