No Option for Progressive taxi

Postby wji » Tue Nov 30, 2004 9:40 pm

I added taxiways and parking to LLRB which is a military base by Haifa, Israel When I contact ATC for taxi clearance, the Progressive Taxi option does not show; of course, neither does the purple route-line.

Any ideas why?

Lee's readme states it could be due to the airport locator elevation being different from the scenery elevation but this does not appear to be the problem.

thnx
bill

p.s. i ran error checker and am using AF2v.221 in FS9

Bill, put something like a default C182 in there as AI and view it in spot view. See where its wheel contact points are in relation to the surface.

You have an elevation conflict - progressive taxi is showing, but it's either above or below the scenery surface (probably the latter).

Once you have established which it is, use JABBgl to adjust.

Thanks, Rollerball, for the prompt reply o.k., i will check it out. i tried several different altitudes but guess they were incorrect. LLRD is default FS9 and the airport locator is some distance from the airport (parking and runways) and about 20-30 feet lower.

i will do as you've suggested re: adding AI, and adjust altitude (LLRD parking surface is 194.2' and the locator is 161') but as noted, i increased the locator to 194.2 and still NO PT.

thnx again
bill

hi again Bill

AFCAD cannot adjust heights. It's one of its limitations. This can ONLY be done with JABBgl
