which program??
LEE SWORDY'S TRAFFIC TOOLS is pretty much the standard and is vailable on this site, free. it is self explanatory.
Once you get the hang of it it's terrific to watch & hear your own (sort of) planes buzzin' around.
good luck... papa-metro usaf 1953-57

Cessna,
Mine has a "readme file". It's very basic.... but I think it helps you get started.
Back up the files that it alters... and then try playing around.
The first place to go is the "settings" screen and point it to the correct locations on your machine.

cessna,
Don't know what the "go nuts" was all about ;).
As far as using TTools directly......... I found that the lists of text that are the encoding of the aircraft and flight parameters was WAY too complicated to deal with. Like looking at Greek to me. I know the format and the idea.... but it was VERY hard to "look at".
So I use YRoute and AI Traffic Mover.
Sorry... can't tell you how to use TTools directly.
best,
...............john

Which version of Yroute were you using?
It's all I used since I started creating my AI packages.
To add aircraft simply add them to your aircraft text, just like you would for airports. Yroute is just used to create flight plans.
Ttools just combines all the info into the traffic.bgl
decompile and compile

Have to agree with Cessna and JBaymore on this one. I found that YRoute takes FOREVER to import the traffic files, maybe that's why it seemed the computer "crashed". I have found that AI Traffic Mover is a very useful tool. It loads flight plans quickly and you can edit flightplans AND aircraft info with one program. I use TTools with this program to decompile/compile the files I've edited with AITM and haven't had any problems. Don't mean to sound like I'm dissing the creator of YRoute, it's a fine piece of software. I just find AITM a little simpler to use, that's all.
