Airport alteration tutorial?

Is there a tutorial somewhere on how to change airports?
I'm not happy with the DFW airport because it seems to only assign the 17-18 and 35-36 runways. But in real life, I go to the airport to watch the planes and see aircraft running on the 13-31 runways all the time (even when the others are in operation). I want to make this happen in FS9.
Ideas? Instructions? All help appreciated.

You can use AFCAD to edit runways with. If you need to add extra ILS runways you will need to find out the approiate info to add these. You will than have to make a seperate bgl file using XML to update the orig files with otherwise fs will not see the changes.
Check out avsim.com You can find a lot of afcad files there coplete with the bgl file that allows fs to see all of the changes.

Using ALT-W-W the surface winds may have to changed to match the 13/31 runways.

I used AFCAD2 to edit the bgl file. I saved the file but I don't see any changes. What else do I need to do to get FS9 to see the file?

Perhaps this won't help but the new AF2 file should be there:

Any changes you make to an airport are initially done only in memory. As long as you don't do a

Turned out my SimFlyers version was taking precedence over my own. Once I turned it off, my revisions came through. Now I have to do the "star" method to get them all working together.
